The Preamp-Channels

The amp concept is based on the FT50 Special LoGain channel, which is now doubled in the FT50 (2 identical channels) and extended with various select options and 2 master volumes - 1 per channel - for great flexibilty.

Channel 1 for instance can be set up as light crunch using the guitar pot to cover a range from clean to solid crunch: low pre-amp gain, high setting on master volume. Use the "Wide" option for orchestral wide open clean sounds.

Channel 2 can be set up to provide crunch with lot´s of gain and drive the amp even harder by activating the boost option via footswitch: higher pre-amp gain, master volume settings to taste.

Tone controls: Both channels share a common equalizer with treble-mid-bass control.

Bright-switches are available for both channels.

Mid boost:

  • One common mid-boost affecting both channels to give that extra "bark" sometimes needed..

Two bass-boosts are available:

  • Bass-boost for channel 1 : "Deep"
  • Bass-boost for channel 2 : "Bass-boost" in the common section on the frontpanel. This boost is only available if bass-boost for channel 1 "Deep" is activated.
  • This Amp is pedal-friendly !
The FT 50 responses very dynamically with typical distortion pedals, boosters and compressors and allows to shape individual sounds easily. High Gain Sounds with insane distortion textures should be no problem with adequate pedals. Individual pedal- and guitar combinations can be easily adapted via the dedicated Bright and Deep switches to let your individual sound ideas become reality.
We will demonstrate this in our next recording session.

The Footswitch

The footswitch provides roadworthy construction and clear functionality.

From the left:

Both LED´s off : channel 1

Green LED on; Red LED off : channel 2

Other Features

Fully tube buffered FX-Loop with volume controls for Send and separate Return levels for channel 1 & 2. The Fx-Loop operates in parallel mode and does not affect the amp in any negative way.

Plug in your prefered reverb or delay effects device and enjoy two different Fx-Levels - i.e.: lush reverb on channel 1 ( clean/crunch) and less for rock tones in channel 2.

The combo cabinet is made of fingerjointed pinewood .
